Spy x Family anime movie will be shown in cinemas this coming December

This past weekend at AnimeJapan 2023, it was revealed that the Spy x Family anime feature and season 2 will both be released in December.

The voice cast of the popular anime series participated in a special stage event at AnimeJapan 2023. There, the next anime movie's fresh key art and its December 22 Japanese theater release date were also revealed. The official title of the movie, Spy x Family Code: White, was also made public.

Although there aren't many specifics available about the film yet, the new image does suggest that it will take place in the winter. Moreover, it appears that Code: White will allude to a fresh assignment that might involve Loid and the entire family.

In case you missed it, the Spy x Family anime movie was announced at Jump Festa back in December. This future film will have an original tale written by the series' creator, Tatsuya Endo, therefore it won't be based on any manga story arcs.

Of course, season 2, which is scheduled to premiere in October 2023, will still continue the primary plot. Again, just the anime's premiere date has been disclosed at AnimeJapan; however, the previous teaser did hint that the anime will adapt the Cruise Adventure arc of the manga.

There is currently no information available on Spy x Family Code: White's theatrical release outside of Japan. However it's possible that this movie will be released in the Philippines soon after it premieres in Japan, given how often anime films are released.
